Ever dreamed of living out your own fairy tale in one of those incredible castles?
Thankfully we are now in Europe, where many of Disney's most famous castles can actually be visited in real life. So why don't you take a trip to the castles of Snow White, Cinderella, Rapunzel or The Little Mermaid.
Oh, don't forget to take your tiara!
Snow White, Snow White's Castle
There are lots of different places in the world that the castle in Snow White is rumoured to be based on. The most popular choice is the Alcazar castle in Segovia in Spain:
Cinderella, Prince Charming's Castle
When Walt Disney and his wife took a vacation in Europe, one of their stops was Neuschwanstein, a 19th-century Bavarian castle commissioned by King Ludwig II in 1869. When Walt Disney came back to California, he used it in Cinderella as Prince Charming's castle.
Tangled
It's a tale as old as time. Rapunzel was grounded by a witch, Mother Gothel, inside of an impenetrable tower in "Tangled". Rapunzel watches the kingdom from her tower and wished to go there. This castle was based on Mont Saint-Michel in Normandy France.
The Little Mermaid, Prince Eric's Castle
The fantastical castle of Prince Eric's home with it's own private beach was based on the Chillon castle in Switzerland.
